As you come back for the fall semester, you may notice a few changes around campus. Here are a few things that have been in the works during the summer.

  • Umbrella-covered outdoor tables (shown in photo) are a new addition the west side of the Nebraska Union.
  • New synthetic turf has been installed on Vine Street Fields for students to play intramural sports, club sports, and open recreation.
  • The university is in the process of adding and replacing more than 50 lights along high-traffic walkways on City and East Campus.
  • Lavender Closet has been refreshed with a new layout and aesthetic in its new home at Nebraska Union, Room 346.
  • HuskerTech store has a new home on the Nebraska Union's first floor (Room 122), across from Chick-Fil-A.
  • While Agriculture Hall is being renovated, the CASNR Dean’s Office has relocated to Nebraska East Union, Room 247.
  • Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) is partnering with WellTrack Connect to provide referrals to UNL students. This service gives students access to find a community mental health provider. Students can search for providers that are part of our referral network and find a good fit based on presenting concern(s), insurance, provider identity, and location.
  • A merger of the former Women's Center and the former LGBTQA+ Center has created a new single unit with a new name - Gender & Sexuality Center. The focus of services and programs remains the same, as does its physical location. Find it on the third floor of Nebraska Union in Rooms 340, 345, & 346 and follow on Instagram.
  • East Campus Dining Center (inside the Nebraska East Union) has converted to an all-you-care-to-eat format for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In the near future, the Grill/Deli area will be transformed to a mobile- and kiosk-order-only station.
  • An OZZI receptacle token program has launched at Selleck Food Court. Bring your reusable OZZI container to the receptacle inside the Selleck Food Court (near the Babylon Microfarm) and receive a wooden token with a face value of 25¢, which you redeem on purchases at any Herbie’s Market.
  • Abel Dining Center has transitioned to a mobile-order destination. Order meals ahead in the Transact Mobile Dining App using your meal plan or debit/credit card. Orders can be taken to-go or eaten in the comfort of the dining room.
