Student Affairs is honored to have 81 individuals receiving Service Awards in 2018. The annual awards are presented to university employees who complete years of service in five-year intervals. Awards are calculated both on consolidated or continuous regular employment.

Modeled after the popular television show “Shark Tank,” the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s new ‘Pitch A Program’ invited Recognized Student Organizations to pitch ideas for student programs with the winner earning funding to bring the program to life.

Monday, March 13, 2017Student cooking competition inspires delectable dishes
On Mar. 10, Campus NightLife hosted Foodie Fest, an event that combined a “Chopped” cooking competition with meal preparation demonstrations from Dining Services and a food drive for the Huskers Helping Huskers Pantry+.
Four teams competed in the cooking competition. At the start of the three rounds, hosts gave team members four ingredients to include in the dish they created. Campus NightLife also provided other ingredients. Teams had to create an idea for their dish, cook and plate it within the 30-minute time limit.
