Tuesday, February 2, 2021 City wants input from Huskers on electric scooters

To assist in the future planning of the electric scooter program, the City of Lincoln wants UNL students to give their input about the Bird and Spin scooters that rolled into campus and the downtown area in September 2020.

The program's managers want a better understanding about frequent riders and how they are using the scooters to navigate downtown Lincoln and campus. All answers to the online survey will help to adapt and improve the current pilot program.

UNL students who are spending any time on campus during the spring semester - whether living full-time or only coming for a single class - are encouraged to pick up a pair of free face masks at the Nebraska Union and Nebraska East Union, while supplies last.

Monday, February 1, 2021 Apply to join the Nebraska Union Board

Students seeking an impactful campus leadership role to enhance their professional and career development should submit an application to serve on the 2021–22 Nebraska Union Board.

The application portal is open until 5 p.m. February 25, 2021. Huskers selected to serve on the board are required to be enrolled for at least six credit hours each semester during their one-year term from March 2021 to May 2022.

Friday, January 29, 2021 Free tax preparation offered virtually

In response to the ongoing pandemic, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Lincoln EITC Coalition, is offering area residents free tax preparation virtually this year as part of its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. Typically offered as face-to-face assistance, this year IRS-trained volunteers will work with clients completely online to prepare and electronically file their federal and state tax returns for free from February through the beginning of April 2021.
