Students seeking an impactful campus leadership role to enhance their professional and career development should submit an application to serve on the 2021–22 Nebraska Union Board.

The application portal is open until 5 p.m. February 25, 2021. Huskers selected to serve on the board are required to be enrolled for at least six credit hours each semester during their one-year term from March 2021 to May 2022.

Composed of 16 voting members – twelve students, two staff, and two faculty representatives – the Board has the collective role to:

  • partake in the important decision-making policies for these facilities: Nebraska Union; Nebraska East Union; and the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center.
  • advocate for the various segments of the University community to the Director of the Nebraska Unions and the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.
  • make recommendations of students' wants and needs in all aspects of Nebraska Unions' operations, programs and planning.
