University of Nebraska-Lincoln students can get a jump at landing a job for the spring semester at the On-Campus Job Fair happening from 2 to 5 p.m. Dec. 1 on the Nebraska Union’s first floor, near the NCard office.

A variety of Student Affairs units – including Nebraska Unions, Starbucks, the Children’s Center, Campus Recreation, and Dining Services - will have hiring representatives at the job fair to give students details about open positions and potentially have interviews and contingent job offers on-the-spot.

Multiple positions with numerous jobs are available. Some Huskers may be able to quickly begin their job in December, while others may begin as late as mid-January, when the spring semester is set to start.

Hourly pay rates for the student jobs will range from $9.15 to $13.

Open positions that students can explore and apply for include:
  • Desk attendants or assistants
  • Student dining workers
  • Intramural Sports officials
  • Preschool teaching aides
  • Baristas
  • Student custodians
