Monday, April 27, 2020 Dining Services cultivates cultural cooking for diverse student body

With all the important roles food plays in culture, it can be difficult for college students to abandon all the comforts of home recipes for dining hall food. Luckily, the directors and curators of dining options at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln make the effort to bring diverse dining options to all their students from all backgrounds.

Simone Bilha, a dining service team leader in the Willa Cather Dining Center, wears a homemade cloth mask as she works on April 7. The university is seeking the donation of more than 1,000 homemade masks for essential employees. The masks will help increase safety for workers who continue to serve the campus community.

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is seeking assistance from all Huskers willing to sew and donate cloth masks for employees who conduct essential services, including those who continue to support students living on campus.

Friday, March 20, 2020 Dining centers continue to support on-campus students

Despite all that’s changed, students who continue to live in campus residence halls have been able to stop by dining centers to pick up breakfast, lunch and dinner as needed.

Monday, March 16, 2020 University Housing offers refund, makes dining centers to-go only

University of Nebraska-Lincoln students living in a University Housing facility who check out of their room before March 24 are eligible to receive a 60% prorated refund of room and board costs.
