Battle of the Food Scientists / Price Is Right - On Stage

St. Patrick's Day Lunch

11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 18 | East Campus Dining Center

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a special lunch at the East Campus Dining Center.

Menu selections include:

  • Traditional Corned Beef
  • Colcannon Potatoes
  • Cabbage
  • Irish Soda Bread
  • Fish and “Chips” (Fries)
  • Variety of lucky desserts

Lunch is included with a meal plan. Guest prices can be found on the dining website.

Anna Nasset, Stand Up: Survivor Story and Bystander Intervention

5:30 to 7 p.m. March 20 | Nebraska Union Swanson Auditorium

Through engaging exercises and conversations, participants will look deeper into consent and appropriate behavior (especially around stalking), learn how to be an active bystander, and assist those who have been sexually assaulted or who are being stalked.

Anna also shares parts of her own story as a survivor to highlight the effective bystanders in her life. Attendees will walk away with a deeper understanding of how stalking affects the victim on every level, and a tool kit of resources to use for themselves or to help others.

This event is FREE, and while intended for students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend.

The Price is Right Live - On Stage

7:30 p.m. March 21 | Lied Center for Performing Arts

Battle of the Food Scientists

5 to 8 p.m. March 21 | Food Innovation Center

Annually, the Food Science & Technology Department hosts a competition where teams of two to four create a dish under specifications to be judged by a panel of industry professionals. Winners receive prizes, product donations, and bragging rights. This year’s theme is upcycling. Join to participate, spectate, and have fun.

Morning Coffee Ride

7:30 to 9:25 a.m. March 22 | Outdoor Adventures Center

This relaxed morning ride leaving from the Outdoor Adventures Center showcasing some bike paths around town is the trip for you. During the ride we will find a good place to meet and make some coffee (tea, hot chocolate, and apple cider will also be available), then head back to campus in time for all but the earliest classes.

FREE for students/Campus Rec members. $10 for nonmembers. Bikes, helmets, and drinks are provided.

Rainbow Ball

8 to 11 p.m. March 22 | Nebraska Union Ballroom

An LGBTQA+-inclusive prom event where students can express themselves how they want and dance with who they want.

Whether you want to dance or simply socialize, there is something for everyone. There will be a photo booth to take countless photos to commemorate the night.

Free for UNL students.

Strong Husker

2 to 4:30 p.m. March 23 | Campus Recreation Center, Cook Pavilion

Compete against other students in this strongman-style competition with multiple men’s and women’s weight classes.

Events include:

  • Tire Flips
  • Atlas Stones
  • Farmer’s Carry
  • Log Clean and Press
  • Prowler Pull
  • Max Deadlift
