Lavender Closet Pop-Ups

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. February 5-7 | Nebraska Union, Career Services (Rm 225)

Acquire free identity-affirming clothing and accessories to build a professional wardrobe you can use for job interviews, internships, and workplaces.

A variety of clothing styles and sizes are available. All items are donated and in gently-used condition.

A private room is available on-site to try on items.

First Generation Share-A-Meal

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. February 6 | Cather Dining Center, Lark Room

Enjoy a free lunch while you meet other first-gen students, instructors and staff members.

You don’t need a meal plan to participate - this event provides a free meal to all first-gen students that attend. Just scan your Ncard with one of the volunteers when you arrive.

Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences Career Connections Day

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. February 7 | Hardin Hall

Network with employers and learn about the vast range of internship, full-time and volunteer possibilities. Gain valuable insight into the natural resources & environmental sciences fields through a panel session that will be held over the lunch hour.

Pet away your stress with certified therapy dog teams at the libraries. Students, faculty, and staff are all welcome to attend.

Big Red Pawp-Ups are organized by Big Red Resilience and Well-being, Department of Entomology, and University Libraries in compliance with the University Policy on the Use of Animals.

Cookwell Class: Taste of Korea

5:30 to 7 p.m. February 8 | Recreation and Wellness Center, Wellness Kitchen

Hone your inner chef and connect with others on campus at this interactive cooking class.

6:30 to 8:30 p.m. February 8 | Nebraska Union, Ballroom

A free, inclusive, and educational opportunity to explore consent, relationships, and sexual health. Stop by multiple booths for free giveaways, cookies, fries, games, activities, and information. Enter to win a number of prizes. Bring a friend, date, your roommate, your gals, your pals for a fun night you’ll be sure to remember.

Free Basic Fitness Classes

Basics TRX

7 to 7:50 p.m. February 6 | Campus Rec Center, Fitness Room

This class will help you learn about proper TRX strap setup/warm-up, fundamental movements, and effective recovery stretches.

Basics Pound

5 to 5:50 p.m. February 7 | Recreation & Wellness Center, East Studio

This class combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with Yoga and Pilates-inspired movements. This beginner’s level class will teach you how to follow the beat of the music through a full-body workout.

Basics Cycle

6 to 6:50 p.m. February 8 | Campus Rec Center, Cycle Studio

This class will help you learn about proper bike setup and working out on the bike, followed by great post-cycle recovery stretches and tips.
