Tuesday, January 31, 2023 Body acceptance workshops offer support for disordered eating

Designed specifically for college-aged women, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) will offer four sessions of the Body Acceptance Program this spring.

This 2-hour workshop helps participants resist and challenge sociocultural pressures to conform to the thin-ideal and reduce their pursuit of unrealistic appearance standards. Throughout the program, women participate in verbal, written and behavioral exercises to establish and maintain a positive body image.
