First Friday at Sheldon Museum of Art

Spend your Friday evening getting creative with someone special. Explore the museum’s new spring semester exhibitions and make some easy origami creations inspired by the ninety-five photographs of landscapes featured in “From Here to the Horizon.”


CookWell Class: Taste of Vietnam

February 9  |  5:30 to 7 p.m.  |  RWC Wellness Kitchen

Let your tastebuds travel across the globe in this interactive cooking class. You’ll get to practice making fresh and tasty Spring Rolls, make a delicious hoisin dipping sauce, and try a traditional Vietnamese Fruit Cocktail, called Chè Thái. Recipes include: • Spring Rolls • Hoisin Sauce • Chè Thái (Vietnamese Fruit Cocktail). Sign up before February 6.


Pal-entine Music Bingo

Join CARE for a night of Music BINGO! Bring a “pal” or a date to explore healthy and toxic relationships, and everything in between, through hit songs of the 90s, 2000s, and today. Enjoy free snacks while you play for a chance to win several prizes.


Stuff A Plush

Bring your friends and relax at this DIY afternoon activity. Create a 16-inch stuffed creature w/ a custom UPC Nebraska t-shirt - to keep for yourself or give as a gift. Only 400 kits are available while supplies last. Limit one per student. FREE for UNL students with Event Pass.


Partner Yoga

Celebrate an appreciation for yourself and your buddy by attending this Partner Yoga class. All poses will be fun to try with a partner, so be sure to bring someone along to share the fun with! Register on the Mindbody App or online.


Plushes & Crushes

Warm up with hot chocolate while creating DIY Valentine’s Day gifts at a floral bouquet bar and crafting stations to build stuffed animals and heart pillows. A limited number of kits are available while supplies last. FREE for UNL students with Event Pass.


Free Skate Night

Share the ice with that special someone at Campus Rec's Free Skate Night February 10. Free for UNL students with their NCard. Skate rental is available for $3 per pair.


Hot Chocolate Walk/Ski

February 11  |  2 to 4 p.m.  |  Outdoor Adventures Center

Grab your favorite adventure buddy and spend an afternoon in nature exploring some of Lincoln’s best parks while enjoying warm beverages -- Coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and apple cider will be provided. $5 for students/members $15 for non-members. Sign up online.


Build-A-Candle with Wax Buffalo

Discover the therapy of creating a beautiful handmade candle – either to keep as your own or to give as a gift to someone special – during this six-day event. This activity is FREE for UNL students only. All supplies are provided. A limited number of students can participate per time slot and there are only 180 spots total during this six-day event. Pre-registration is required.


Huskers + Hearts Valentine Dinner

February 14  |  5:30 to 8 p.m.  |  Willa Cather Dining Complex, Red Cloud A

Dining Services invites student residents to enter for the chance to experience a fine dining Valentine's Day dinner. Sign up to attend with one special guest or dine individually. This event is limited to 30 tables and sign-up closes February 6. If selected, announcements will be made via Huskers email on February 7.
