Giving Back in June: Volunteer blood donors urgently needed

Friday, May 29, 2020 Giving Back in June: Volunteer blood donors urgently needed

Nebraska Community Blood Bank

Instead of capes, today’s heroes wear masks for the safety of our community. This includes blood donors who help ensure a stable blood supply during the pandemic.

Nebraska Community Blood Bank (NCBB) is urgently seeking healthy blood donors to meet the increasing demand for blood supplies as hospitals resume elective procedures. Making blood donation a habit is the best way to help maintain the supply and to support local hospitals. NCBB continues to take extra precautions to keep donors and staff safe amid the pandemic, and is collecting COVID-19 convalescent plasma from eligible donors to help treat patients with severe infections.

Schedule your blood donation online or call 1-877-486-9414. NCBB has four donor centers located in Lincoln and Omaha.
