A new two-day student leadership retreat aims to help participants gain confidence in their abilities to facilitate difficult conversations, to increase awareness of what it means to be an inclusive leader and to help students develop action plans for student organizations to which they belong. The retreat entitled Leadership Out LOUD: Building Confident Leaders and Vocal Advocates will take place October 20-21, 2017.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to talk with students about participating. Applications are due by Oct. 6. Registration is available at http://stuafs.unl.edu/leadership-out-loud-registration.

Students selected to participate in the retreat will be notified and are expected to attend all sessions. Transportation to the off-site location will be available upon request.

This program was made possible thanks to a gift from Union Bank and Trust Company. Co-sponsors include the Center for Civic Engagement, the Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services (OASIS) and Student Involvement.
