Student Leadership, Involvement, & Community Engagement is connecting Huskers and RSOs with service opportunities to help the Lincoln community. Here are four local nonprofits seeking volunteers this month.

Lincoln Literacy

Volunteers will be paired with a participant and assist with weekly tutoring based around English language and a variety of literacy skills.  Sign up now to help.

Lighthouse

Volunteer opportunities exist to help prepare evening meal and snacks for youth from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday–Friday.  Sign up now to help.

Habitat for Humanity - Restore

Volunteers can perform a variety of tasks including customer service, cleaning donated materials, stocking shelves and preparing the sales floor, unloading donated materials from vehicles and other duties.  Sign up now to help.

Volunteers can assist with the Daisy Thrift Shop from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Students can also help workshops that occur from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays.  Sign up now to help.
