The four-night Destress Fest will happen Dec. 6-9, 2021 and is free for all Husker students.

Give yourself permission to take a break from intensive studying during the most hectic week of the semester December 6–9. Relax every evening with a break for fun, fellowship and self-care at the Destress Fest hosted by the OASIS Student Advisory Board.

A different free activity will happen each day for one to two hours and students can stay as long (or short) as they want. Events are open to all students. For additional details and updates, follow OASIS on Instagram.


MONDAY, DECEMBER 6

Destress Fest Kickoff: Jazz Cafe
3 to 5 p.m.  |  Nebraska Union, Ballroom (2nd floor)

Unwind with snacks, drinks and good music played by Dr. Darryl A. White (trumpet), Tom Harvill (piano) and Dr. Hans Sturm (bass).


Painting with Bob Ross
5:30 to 6:30 p.m.  |  Nebraska Union, Centennial Room (2nd floor)

Make happy little accidents with the famed Bob Ross as you paint along with both him and many other Huskers. Canvases, paint and food are all provided.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 7

Cookies & Crafts
5:30 to 6:30 p.m.  |  Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center, Unity Room (2nd floor)

Decorate cookies with frosting and create holiday crafts with your friends.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 8

Open Mic Night
5:30 to 6:30 p.m.  |  Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center, OASIS Lounge (1st floor)

Bring friends to sing to a song of your choice or simply enjoy the vocal talents of your fellow students. Improv is welcome as well.

Sip and Study Night
5:30 to 7:30 p.m.  |  Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center, OASIS Lounge (1st floor)

Partake in a study night with pastries and hot drinks.
