On Saturday, March 23, 2024, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln will welcome hundreds of newly-admitted students and their families for Nebraska's Admitted Student Day.
This is an opportunity for these students to explore campus, meet with their academic college, and celebrate new beginnings with future classmates as they prepare to join us at UNL in the summer and fall 2024.
On this single day, several campus spots will see an increase in foot traffic and slight adjustments in operations that may alter the regular routine of current students.
Here are locations with adjustments for you to consider.
Campus Recreation Center
- Consider working out at the Rec & Wellness Center to avoid crowds, particularly from 9 to 10 a.m.
- For multipurpose courts, visit the Rec & Wellness Center on east campus. All courts at the Campus Recreation Center will be ready for play at approximately 10:30 a.m.
- Most other services should function regularly, including access to the Outdoor Adventures Center.
Dining Services
- Consider getting lunch from Herbie’s Market or Husker Heroes to avoid the crowds. All dining centers will be particularly busy from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- There will be a few more all-you-care-to-eat options available for this day only. See the schedule below for service changes and what you can expect.
Abel Dining Center
- Brunch: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (all-you-care-to-eat)
- Dinner: 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. (mobile order | dine in or carry out)
Cather Dining Center
- Brunch: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (all-you-care-to-eat)
- Dinner: 4:30 to 8 p.m. (all-you-care-to-eat)
East Campus Dining Center
- Breakfast: 9:30 to 11 a.m. (mobile order | carry out only)
- Lunch: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (all-you-care-to-eat)
- Grill & Deli: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (mobile order | carry out only)
Harper Dining Center
- Breakfast: 8 to 10:30 a.m. (mobile order | carry out only)
- Lunch: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (all-you-care-to-eat)
- 8+: 4:30 to 8 p.m. (mobile order | carry out only)
- Champion’s Chicken & Varsity Pizza: 4:30 to 11 p.m. (mobile order | carry out only)
Nebraska Union
- Use the Transact mobile ordering app for the open hours of the Food Court restaurants and to order and pick up to-go food.
