Friday, February 19, 2021 Nominations open for Student Impact Awards

Student Impact Awards are awarded annually to celebrate the outstanding contributions to the campus community by the more than 550 Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) and their leaders. Awards are presented in a variety of categories and any UNL community member, RSO member or advisor may nominate an individual or group for the awards. Nominations are due by 11:30 p.m. March 21, 2021.

Christopher Nguyen’s introduction to college life has been a little unconventional, to say the least. Despite the strangeness of the past year, Nguyen is rolling with the punches and stepping confidently into his college career with the help of the Nebraska College Preparatory Academy.

Friday, August 14, 2020 14 years in, preparatory academy celebrates record grad rates

Guadalupe Esquivel didn’t have the pomp and circumstance of an in-person commencement ceremony to mark earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln this past May. As the first in her family to go to college, however, receiving her diploma in the mail was still worth all the celebration in the world.
