UNL Outdoor Adventures is offering Huskers two exciting 5-day adventure trips during Fall Break to the state of Arkansas: canoeing the Buffalo River and mountain biking in the Ozark Mountains.

The trip dates are October 14–18, 2022. Activity-related gear, transportation, meals and instruction are included in the cost of each trip.

A limited number of spots are available for each activity. The sign-up deadline is extended to October 10. Registration can be completed either online or in person at the Outdoor Adventures Center.

Buffalo River Canoeing

October 14–18, 2022

Spend several mid-autumn days paddling and exploring one of Arkansas’ beautiful and scenic rivers, located in the Ozark Mountains of northwest Arkansas. Enjoy the lush landscape surroundings while the trees are beginning to display their fall colors and foliage.

Outdoor Adventures staff will teach the group of participants the basics of canoeing and camping while on location and in the field.

Cost is $300 for UNL students ($100 deposit required to secure a spot).

Arkansas Mountain Biking

October 14-18, 2022

Take your biking to the next level by riding miles of trails within northwest Arkansas' Ozark Mountains.

Trip participants will base from the town of Jasper and ride with professional mountain bike coaches on the miles of trails each day. Cyclists will enjoy scenic rock formations and bluff lines and panoramic views over the beautifully forested region.

Cost is $400 for UNL students ($134 deposit required to secure a spot).
