Effective May 12, the campus resource Husker Pantry is opening its doors again to University of Nebraska-Lincoln students for in-person visits to receive food and personal hygiene items, school supplies and cleaning products.

Maddie Washburn discovered her dream job in an opportunity earned while studying at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. A senior double major in journalism and sports media, Washburn is preparing to receive her degree on May 8. She came to the university with a knack for photography that she honed and developed into a passion. It led her to the sidelines where she snapped images of Huskers in action, NFL stars in the Super Bowl and the recent NFL Draft.

Shrestha is graduating with his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Nebraska, where he’ll also begin pursuing a master’s in structural engineering this fall. But his path to the Cornhusker State was far from a straight line. He’d never been to the United States; the idea of attending college there wasn’t on his radar even as he wrapped 10th grade and prepared for his next two years of school, which Nepalese typically attend at a university or college.

Four years ago, Luke Bogus came to Nebraska U and its Raikes School of Computer Science and Management having not written a single line of code. In five days, he’ll graduate as an entrepreneur (having helped create Brim, a mobile ordering app for small businesses); a highly-involved undergrad who stepped up to be a leader in the Cornhusker Marching Band, his fraternity and other organizations; and, through internship experiences, a soon-to-be Microsoft employee.

Friday, April 30, 2021 Dance Marathon reaches $1 million milestone in 2021

Since its inception in 2004, Dance Marathon at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has raised over $1 million for the Children's Hospital and Medical Center. This effort is thanks to community donors, Huskerthon participants and student volunteers. The $224,000 raised from the 2021 Huskerthon event helped reach this milestone.
