Wednesday, March 18, 2020 Students sought to help with local food aid
Center for People in Need is partnering with UNL’s Center for Civic Engagement to locate youthful volunteers to assist with bagging food items to benefit community residents during COVID-19.
Students who are interested in helping should contact Steve Sheridan 402-476-4357 ext. 141. Center for People in Need is located at 3901 N. 27th Street.

As COVID-19 continues to impact Nebraska, UNL students are encouraged to be conscientious when serving [and volunteering]. If you have not been feeling well, have been around someone who is sick, or have been traveling, inform the organization you are serving and stay home. CCE has created a GivePulse posting for COVID-19 where community groups needing volunteers can post project opportunities and UNL students can connect to them. The situation is rapidly evolving and new opportunities will be posted daily. If you know a group needing people to serve, encourage them to post in on the Givepulse post.
