More than 100 new Nebraska Alumni Association members showed their support for students last spring by generating $1,610 for campus programs.

During the Pay It Forward campaign, 125 new members joined the alumni association, which made donations to the student organization of the member’s choice. The association made a $10 donation for each new annual membership and $50 for each new lifetime membership purchased.

“Part of our mission at the Nebraska Alumni Association is to find ways for our alumni to expand opportunity for current students,” said Shelley Zaborowski, executive director of the alumni association. “This campaign is just one of many ways Nebraska alumni connect with each other to make sure Huskers past, present and future can reach their full potential.”

The following campus organizations received donations through the campaign:

  • Counseling and Psychological Services — $500
  • University of Nebraska Emergency Assistance Fund — $310
  • Military and Veterans Success Center — $310
  • Huskers Helping Huskers Food Pantry+ — $240
  • OASIS — $150
  • Greek Vitality — $100

The Nebraska Alumni Association has more than 23,000 members worldwide. Learn more about the association.
