Thursday, August 12, 2021 Free shuttles to bring students from East Campus during Big Red Welcome
On August 18, 20, 21 and 22, students can ride free shuttle busses from East Campus to attend Big Red Welcome evening events on City Campus. Busses will meet Huskers at Entomology Hall on the East Campus Mall and drop off at 14th & Vine St. Shuttles will return students throughout the evenings.
Students should wear face coverings on the busses to comply with the federal transportation requirement for decreasing the spread of the COVID-19 virus and the Delta variant. Unvaccinated individuals are expected to wear face coverings at all indoor events and large outdoor events. It also is highly recommended for vaccinated individuals.
Shuttles running approximately every 30 minutes will be provided for the following events.
Wednesday, August 18
Event: Playfair: The Ultimate Icebreaker
7 p.m. | first shuttle departs East Campus
10 p.m. | last shuttle departs City Campus
Friday, August 20
Events: Tunnel Walk & New Student Welcome | Chancellor’s BBQ | Husker Mania Un-masked Singer Karaoke Party
3 p.m. | first shuttle departs East Campus
10 p.m. | last shuttle departs City Campus
Saturday, August 21
Event: Party at the Union
8:30 p.m. | first shuttle departs East Campus
Midnight | last shuttle departs City Campus
Sunday, August 22
Event: Street Festival
6 p.m. | first shuttle departs East Campus
9 p.m. | last shuttle departs City Campus
