Monday, May 24, 2021 79 staff members recognized at Student Affairs’ Inspiring Excellence Awards
In a year that was extraordinary, Student Affairs recognized the vast contributions of team members and collaborators during the annual Inspiring Excellence Awards. Hosted at Willa Cather Dining Center on May 14, the staff recognition program celebrated individuals whose contributions embodied the university’s educational mission and Student Affairs’ mission of cultivating student success through engagement, well-being and a commitment to diversity.
The following individuals and cross-functional teams were recognized:
Recognizes an individual, group or organization that is not part of Student Affairs but who has partnered with our units in a significant manner and made meaningful contributions.
Public Health Advocacy Team
Recognizes individuals or groups who promote a sense of belonging through programs, words, and behaviors, and by modeling advocacy and social justice through their actions.
COVID Care Team
Recognizes individuals or groups who nurture growth, learning and well-being and help develop a campus environment that encourages kindness, offers support, honors compassion, builds relationships and connects faculty, staff and students.
Isolation Housing Team
Recognizes individuals or groups who help foster diverse, accessible and caring communities that promote full and equal participation and respect each individual’s personal stories.
Racial Justice Action Teams
Recognizes individuals and/or units who seek new and creative solutions to challenges facing our campus and community.
Student Affairs’ Spring Open Events Committee
Recognizes individuals who embody inclusive leadership, and further the development of ethical, responsible and collaborative leaders.
Vice Chancellor’s Award for Campus Impact
Recognizes a Student Affairs unit for its significant impact on students and the campus community.
